Technology in My Classroom

Promethean Board–I am using my Promethean Board to share morning responsibilites, homework, and other events happening on that day.

iPads–My third graders use their iPads throughout the day and specifically during guided reading rotations, for assessments, and to do research occasionally.

  • Study Island
    • a program that is both an assessment tool and a practice tool for English Language Arts and Mathematics skills. Students answer 10 questions on each skill trying to obtain 70% accuracy to pass the skill.
  • Xtra Math
    • an app that has students practice addition, subtraction, and multiplication based on their performance.
  • HMH Waggle
    • an app that is used for benchmark assessments and for practicing math skills based on those assessments.
  •  AR
    • an app that allows students to take quizzes, on books they have read, to get points and earn prizes.
