Coordinator of Special Education: Seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly organized Coordinator of Special Education to lead and support our special education programs. This is an exciting opportunity for an education professional who is passionate about ensuring that students with disabilities receive the services, support, and opportunities they need to succeed.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee special education programs and services.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations.
- Support teachers, administrators, related-service providers, and families.
- Monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure services are delivered appropriately.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among school staff, families, and community partners.
- Provide professional development and guidance to special education staff.
- Monitor student progress and help develop effective instructional and behavioral supports.
- Assist with evaluations, eligibility determinations, and other special education processes.
- Promote an inclusive, supportive, and student-centered learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education.
- Experience working with students with disabilities and knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, and administrators.
