My name is  Tara Will and I am honored to have been selected as the new Superintendent of Fannett-Metal School District.  I am thrilled to be working with everyone during the upcoming school year.  I was born and raised in Fulton County. After graduating high school, I received my Bachelors in Education, Masters in Special Education and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California University of PA.  I remained in Western PA and worked for the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit #7 for 22 years. I returned to the area in 2016. I have worked as a School Nurse, Health Services Coordinator, Principal, Supervisor of Special Education and a Superintendent.  I am looking forward to a great school year.

Mr. Todd Best, Secondary Principal

I am Todd Best, the Fannett-Metal Secondary Principal.  I am a 2002 graduate of the Fannett-Metal High School.  After high school, I attended Shippensburg University where I graduated with a BS in Biology with Secondary Certification.  I also completed my Master’s to obtain my Principal Certification from Shippensburg University in December 2011.  In August of 2006, I was hired by the Fannett-Metal School District as a secondary science teacher; I continued this rewarding work until July 2019 when I transitioned into the middle/high school principal role.  I have helped coach baseball, basketball and soccer.  I live within the district with my wife, Lori, and our three children, Ryan, Andrew, and Katie. I look forward to working with each student to help them achieve academic success and support them in their many endeavors.

 

Mrs. Stephanie Shoemaker, Elementary Principal

I am Stephanie Shoemaker, the Fannett-Metal Elementary School Principal. I have worked in the district for over twenty-five years teaching in kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grade classrooms; also serving as a reading specialist and literacy coach and now the elementary principal. I graduated from the Fannett-Metal High School and pursued a career in education. I attended Shippensburg University where I earned my Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education degrees as well as my Reading Specialist, Reading Supervisory, Principal, and Superintendent certifications. I am thrilled to work along side Pre-K – 5th grade teachers to enhance student learning and achievement. This is going to be a GRRREAT year at FMES!!

 

Mrs. Teresa Black, Director of Special Education and Student Services

I am Teresa Black, the Director of Special Education and Student Support Services. I have been in education for over twenty years! I have worked in the district teaching both middle and high school math, and elementary Life Skills. I enjoy reading, doing math, crocheting and music. I graduated from Shippensburg University with degrees/certifications in Elementary Education; Early Childhood Education; Special Education; Mathematics; General Science; and Administration. I have 2 children – Kierstin graduated in 2019 and is currently attending Shippensburg University for Early Childhood Education; Ian graduated in 2021 and has joined the workforce! I love learning! I am looking forward to a terrific year – please reach out – I am always willing and eager to speak to families of my students!
