We proudly are known as the home of the “TIGERS”!

Effective immediately, K-12 school bus passengers and their operators are no longer required to wear masks while on District operated school buses per the CDC Mask Order.

The CDC announced today that it “exercising its enforcement discretion to not require that people wear masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs.”  The CDC stated it is making this change “to align with updated guidance that no longer recommends universal indoor mask wearing in K-12 and early education settings in areas with a low or medium COVID-19 Community Level.”

The CDC Mask Order still remains in effect at this time for other types of public transportation conveyances (airplanes, trains, commercial buses, etc.).  If school districts elect to use those forms of public transportation for school-sponsored trips, students and staff may be required to wear masks by those operators per the CDC Mask Order.
