AR–Accelerated Reader
Accelerated Reader is a computer-based program that the students select books in their reading zone as assessed by the program. The student reads the book 1-2 times and then takes a multiple-choice reading quiz to see how well they understand what they read. The student gets points based on how well they do on the book. Prizes are given once students reach a milestone decided upon by the school. For more information about your child’s reading zone or how many points they have, please contact your student’s teacher.
The below link is offered via our A.R. (Accelerated Reader) partners. This allows access of thousands of books for our students to read online, completely FREE. Students can log on and read books themselves or choose the option to have books read aloud to them. What a great opportunity for students to interact with quality literature from home.
