Meet Miss Miley
Welcome to Miss Miley’s Title I Math page. I want to introduce myself to those who may not know me. This is my 42.5 year of teaching here in the Fannett-Metal School District. I started as a fifth and sixth grade teacher and then moved into the Title I math position about 12 years ago. Since I love math and the part it plays in our lives, I love my job! I work with math most of the day.
I have a master’s degree in elementary education from Shippensburg University. I am constantly taking classes or attending webinars and conferences to keep my knowledge of math strategies and concepts current and up to date. The state is requiring skills to be taught earlier in the education curricular, so it is important for our children to build the basic background skills earlier, so they can be successful in math as they progress from grade to grade.
I have a variety of resources to help children as they encounter new math skills or struggle with a math concept. My door is always open to help the students and the parents as they encounter difficulties in understanding and performing math skills. I have flash cards, practice sheets, number lines, etc. that I can send home for the parents and/or the children to use. You may request any of these materials by emailing me at email@example.com or calling (717) 349-2513 ext. 3034. My door is always open to the students and the parents. Please feel free to contact me and I will gladly assist you.
I also serve as one of the PTO teacher liaisons. If there is something going on with PTO and you have questions or concerns, you may contact me with those as well. If I cannot answer your question, I will find the answer and get back to you. PTO provides a great deal of support to the students, staff, and administration here at Fannett-Metal. Hopefully you will join us at the monthly PTO meeting and the events they sponsor.
Yours in education,
