May Parent Letter

 

Dear Parent/s,

We are required to change our assignments, due to state guidelines.  We will present some new material that will cover the basic concepts to prepare your child for second grade.  We encourage you to practice these concepts with your child to enhance learning.  In the month of May, we will be reading a new story in our reading book.  You will be able to find the new vocabulary words for the story in the pages before the story begins.  Our reading and kid writing activity for the month relates to the new story.

In math, we will also be introducing new areas of study.  First, there will be an introduction to the new concept.  An activity follows that relates to the new concept.  The introduction will serve as a guide when completing the activity.

The science/social studies activity will remain similar to those of the past weeks.  The learning assignments will still be posted on Mondays and due on the following Monday, except for the week of Memorial Day.  Those assignments will be due Tuesday, May 26^, 2020.

We appreciate your flexibility as we begin this new phase of your child’s learning path.
