I am excited to proclaim that I am high school Social Studies teacher for Fannett-Metal High School, as well as Head Cheerleading Coach and Class of 2021 Advisor. I teach Early American History, Modern American History, Government, and Sociology for grades 9-12. I am certified to teach grades PreK through 6th, as well. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in elementary education (K-6) from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2016. I earned my teaching certificate for Pennsylvania from Wilson College where I am also pursuing a master’s degree in History and American Studies.
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy exploring nature by taking my four children and Shihtzu, Archie, on hiking trips , as well as traveling to any spot that strikes an interest, especially National Parks! As a military spouse, married to a retired United States Marine for 17 years, I have had the opportunity to travel the United States extensively with my family. Together we share a great love for history and actively seek out places and adventures to learn more about the world around us. My natural curiosity for “days gone by” fuels my ongoing love for learning. Reading, art, dance, music, and yoga fill my slight and sporadic crevices of free time. I am also active with the Path Valley Historical Society as the website administrator and newsletter editor.
My goal for my career in education is to instill this love of learning and passion for life into each student that I encounter. Thank you for taking the time to visit my website!
May your day be filled with much love, light, and positivity!
