Nathaniel Byers

Hi all! I’m Mr. Byers and I’m excited to start my first year of K-12 music teaching here at Fannett-Metal! In addition to teaching general music courses, I look forward to growing our musical ensembles. Band and choir are fantastic outlets for musical expression, engagement with the arts and building lasting friendships.

 

Ensemble rehearsals will occur as follows

Middle School/High School Band: 7:35-8:00 AM, Mondays and Thursdays

Middle School/High School Choir: 7:35-8:00 AM, Tuesdays and Fridays

Middle School Band: 2:15-3:00 PM, Day 1

Middle School Choir: 2:15-3:00 PM, Day 4

 

High school ensemble rehearsals at this time will be a before school commitment due to scheduling logistics within the school day, and potential other commitments after school. While this may present challenges with attendance from time to time, an expectation of excellence, consistency and effort will be essential in representing the musical vision of our school.

 

Schedules may be subject to change throughout the year depending on further availability and openings. Any updates will be posted here.

 

No rehearsals, band lessons or other ensemble related activities will occur during the first 6 day cycle of the school year. This will be a time to get back into the groove of an educational routine, make decisions about joining ensembles and build meaningful relationships with the student body. I look forward to what we can musically build here at Fannett-Metal!

 

While there are many musical activities to enjoy within the school, other opportunities hosted by the FFCMEA (Franklin, Fulton County Music Educators Association) offer further enrichment for students of varying grade levels. Here are some event dates to consider. Other dates will be posted here as such dates become available.
