From Facts to Fur: First Graders Learn About Polar Bears

Did you know that polar bears’ fur is not actually white? Polar bears have clear fur. In first grade, we conducted an animal study on polar bears. We learned where polar bears live, what they look like, what they eat, and what makes them special. We then made a polar bear out of a plate and cotton balls.
