Brrr! It’s cold outside! In first grade, we were learning about polar bears. We learned that blubber, black skin, under fur, and guard hairs keep them warm. Polar bears are the second largest bear in the world. They can grow up to 10 feet tall. They have large paws that are rough and have claws which help them walk on ice. We learned that they could have one to two cubs. At two years old the subs leave their mothers. We had fun learning about polar bears.
